Educational Qualification
1. PGT Geography
Candidates must fulfil the prescribed educational qualifications, including one of the following:
- An integrated postgraduate course from an NCTE-recognized institution or university with at least 50% aggregate marks, including the B.Ed. component; or
- A master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks.
Candidates must also possess the prescribed B.Ed. qualification with at least 50% marks, a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. qualification, or an eligible four-year integrated degree that includes the B.Ed. component, as specified in the notification.
The concerned subject or specialization must also have been studied at the graduation level.
Desirable qualifications:
- Teaching experience as a TGT in the relevant subject at a recognized institution.
- Experience working in a residential school.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
- Working knowledge of English and Hindi or another Bharatiya Bhasha.
2. Hostel Superintendent (Female)
Essential qualification:
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized institution.
Desirable qualifications:
- Master’s degree or B.Ed.
- Proficiency in the regional language.
Experience requirement:
- At least two years of experience in Pay Level 3 (₹21,700) or above under the 7th CPC, or an equivalent scale, in a recognized school.
- Ex-Defence personnel with at least two years of experience in Pay Level 3 or above may also be eligible.
- For candidates with experience working in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, the experience requirement may be reduced to three years, as stated in the notification.
