Gujarat Gopalak Development Corporation: Among the castes included in the socially and educationally backward classes, the people of the Rabari and Bharwad castes, who have remained underdeveloped for years due to traditional professions such as animal husbandry, their care, and milk selling, can develop and come into the ranks of other castes. In order to achieve this,
the Gujarat Gopalak Vikas Board has been formed for the social and educational upliftment of the Rabari-Bharwad castes by means of the Resolution No. SSP/1489/166R/A, dated 13/02/1990 of the Social Welfare Department of the State Government.
Gujarat Gopalak Development Corporation: However, in order to achieve this objective of the government more easily and for the economic upliftment of communities like Rabari-Bharwad, more new schemes can be implemented if necessary and when these communities engaged in animal husbandry are going through the process of transformation, they can get direct assistance from the National Corporation for Backward Classes for their social, educational and economic upliftment.
With this in mind, the Government’s Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Secretariat, Gandhinagar, has decided to convert the existing Gujarat Gopalak Vikas Board into a corporation vide Resolution No. SSP/1493/153/9P/A-1, dated 10/08/2000 and Gujarat Gopalak Vikas Nigam Ltd. has been implemented from 01/06/2001.

Note:- After the loan is sanctioned for A.No.(1), if the beneficiary has paid regular installments during the year, then Rs.1,40,000/- for two more cattle and Rs.1,20,000/- if there is a need for a cattle shed, a total loan of Rs.2,60,000/- will be available in addition to the existing loan. (The beneficiary who takes this loan will have to pay a separate burden of one and a half times the amount sanctioned on the old/new immovable property.)

This scheme provides small-scale loans to individual women entrepreneurs to promote self-employment and make them self-reliant.

This scheme provides micro-finance to small-scale entrepreneurs of the target group to meet their business needs.

Gujarat Gopalak Development Corporation: Higher Education Loan Scheme (New Aakansha Yojana)
This scheme provides loans for pursuing higher professional education such as Medical, Dental, Engineering, and Pharmacy.
- Maximum loan amount up to ₹15.00 lakh.
Documents required with online application:
- Income certificate (up to ₹3.00 lakh) from competent authority.
- Caste certificate (Rabari or Bharwad community) issued by competent authority.
- School Leaving Certificate proving age between 17 to 35 years.
- Copy of Aadhaar Card (both sides).
- Copy of Ration Card (both sides).
- Admission letter obtained through Admission Committee recognized by Government.
- Marksheet of qualifying examination (minimum 50% required).
- Certificate from college/institution stating expenses during study (admission fees, tuition fees, hostel fees, etc.).

Gujarat Gopalak Development Corporation: Loan Documentation Requirements (After Sanction Approval)
Once the loan is sanctioned in principle, the applicant must submit the following loan documents:
- Applicant’s personal guarantee deed on ₹50 stamp paper (notarized). Along with Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, and property proof.
- Demand Promissory Note with ₹3 revenue stamp signed.
- Surety/Guarantor bond on ₹300 adhesive stamp (notarized).
- Hypothecation / Loan Agreement / Tripartite Contract on ₹300 adhesive stamp (notarized) with signatures of applicant and both guarantors on each page.
- Guarantor’s guarantee deed (Annexure-R) on ₹50 stamp paper (notarized), along with Aadhaar, Ration Card, and property proof. (Guarantor must be below 60 years of age.)
- Consent for charge registration on property (Annexure-3) on ₹50 stamp paper (notarized).
- 10 signed CTS cheques of applicant + Bank Passbook copy.
- Charge registration of applicant’s/guarantor’s property with competent authority as per prescribed procedure.
Charge Registration Details
- Rural areas: Property entry in ownership card, Form No. 7/12 & 8-A revenue records with charge entry, or Form No. 6 rights record.
- Urban areas: Entry in Property Card via City Survey Superintendent’s office or Municipal Corporation property record.
- Applicant must mortgage immovable property worth 1.5 times the loan amount in the name of the Corporation.
- For transport loans, vehicle hypothecation must be registered in the name of Gujarat Gopalak Vikas Nigam Ltd., Gandhinagar at RTO.
